Frequently asked questions

Getting started and access

How do I get started with Athleet.Ai?

Choose your sport and plan on the pricing page and pay securely through Stripe. Your access is ready straight away: open your edition and sign in with the email address you paid with.

How do I sign in after paying?

Open your sport's edition from the Editions page and sign in with the email address you used at checkout. That address is your account.

I paid with one email address but want to use another. What do I do?

Email hello@athleet.ai from either address and we will move your access to the one you want to use.

Is there a free trial?

No. The simplest way to try Athleet.Ai without a subscription is a message pack: 15 messages for £5, with no renewal. If you subscribe and change your mind, consumers have 14 days to cancel for a refund, less a fair amount for the days used.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. Every price shown on the pricing page includes VAT, and your Stripe receipt shows what you paid.

What is the founder price for coaches?

The Coach plan is £19 a month as a founder price. If you join at that price you keep it for as long as your subscription continues without a break.

What is a message pack?

A one-off purchase for people who do not want a subscription: 15 messages for £5, 50 for £10 or 120 for £20. Each message you send to a chat tool uses one. Packs do not expire and work in every chat tool in your edition.

Is there a limit on how much I can use a subscription?

Subscriptions have a fair use limit of 450 messages a month for each account, which is far more than normal use. If you reach it you can buy a message pack or wait until the next month.

How do Club plans work?

A Club plan covers five coaches for £79 a month or ten for £149. The person who pays enters the email address for each seat and can change it at any time. Each coach signs in with their own address and gets the full coaching suite for the club's sport.

Does one plan cover more than one sport?

No. Each plan covers one sport, with tools written for that sport. If you coach or play two sports you need a plan for each.

Can I use Athleet.Ai on my phone?

Yes. Each edition works in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, and can be added to your home screen so it opens like an app.

Can young athletes have their own account?

Athletes under 18 need the agreement of a parent or guardian, and children under 13 may not hold an account. Parents of younger athletes can use the Parent plan.

How does video review work?

Where your sport's tool set includes a video tool, you upload a clip or paste a link and ask what you want to know. Track and Field coaches also have a detailed event video analysis tool.

Using the tools

How is Athleet.Ai different from a general AI chatbot?

Each Athleet.Ai tool is built for one job in one sport, with that sport's language, rules and age groups, so you do not have to explain the background each time. It shows the reasoning behind what it suggests and leaves the decision with you or your coach.

Do I need to be a qualified coach to use it?

No. Coach tools are written for coaches at every level, from volunteers to full-time professionals, and there are separate tool sets for athletes and for parents.

What level of athlete is it for?

Every level, from beginners and juniors to experienced competitors. You tell the tool the athlete's age, level and goals, and its answer is pitched to match.

Does it remember my athletes or my training history?

Your past conversations are saved in your account, so you can pick one up again. If you are a coach, you can also keep a private profile of each athlete you coach: age and stage, training load, goals, injury history and what you must always account for. Name that athlete in any coach tool and the profile is used, so you do not type it again. Day to day, you still tell the tool what has happened, such as a race at the weekend or a missed session. The parent and athlete tools keep no profiles.

How are athlete profiles kept private?

A profile is stored encrypted under a code, not a name. The athlete's name is kept apart from the profile, and the AI tools see the code in place of the name. Only the coach who made the profile can see or use it. If the coach records a date of birth, the AI tools are only ever given the month and year, never the day. The coach can change it, download it or delete it at any time, and it is removed if the coach deletes their account or stops using the service for a year.

Does Athleet.Ai connect to Garmin, Strava or other wearables?

Not at present. You can type in what you have done, and tools that accept files let you upload a spreadsheet or an image.

Can I upload files, photos or video?

Yes, in tools that accept them. You can attach spreadsheets and text files or images to a chat, and video tools take an uploaded clip or a link.

Can I save, copy or download an answer?

Yes. Each answer can be copied or downloaded, and your conversations are kept in your account under Your chats.

How long a training plan will it write?

As long as you ask for. If you do not say, the tool will ask how long a block you want before writing it, so the plan fits your season.

How accurate is the advice?

The tools are built by coaches on small language models that we design and deploy ourselves, supported by larger models from Anthropic and OpenAI, and they show their reasoning, but any AI can be wrong or incomplete. Treat the output as a well-informed draft: check anything important, and let the coach make the final call.

Can it help with an injury?

It can explain common issues, return-to-training principles and what to ask a professional. It is not a medical service and does not replace a doctor or physiotherapist, so get medical help for anything that worries you.

What do I need to get started?

An email address and a web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install.

Safety and trust

Is Athleet.Ai safe for young athletes?

Guidance for young athletes is written for their age and stage of development. Anyone buying confirms they are 18 or over, or are the parent or guardian agreeing for the user, and children under 13 may not hold an account: a parent or coach uses the tools with them. The young athletes and safeguarding page sets this out.

How can a child under 13 use Athleet.Ai?

They do not have their own account. A parent uses the Parent or Family plan, or the coach uses the Coach plan, and works with the child. The Family plan gives the parent tools and the athlete or player tools on one account for £12.99 a month.

Do your AI suppliers train on what I type or upload?

No. Our tools use small language models that we design, build and deploy ourselves, supported by larger models from Anthropic, OpenAI and Pickaxe. Those suppliers process your messages to produce your answers and are not permitted to use them to train their models. We never sell your data.

What is the Family plan?

The parent tools and the athlete or player tools for one sport, on one account, for £12.99 a month or £99 a year. It is for a parent or guardian and a young athlete to use together.

Who is behind Athleet.Ai?

Athleet.Ai was founded by Paul Forrest, a practising athletics coach who is Head of Coaching at Brentwood Beagles Athletics Club and an England Athletics Performance Coach in sprints, hurdles and endurance. It is run by Ecaveo Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales and with the Information Commissioner’s Office (reference ZA747700). It began in track and field and now covers seven sports.

Is Athleet.Ai covered by UK data protection law?

Yes. Ecaveo Services Ltd is a UK company and handles personal information under UK data protection law. The privacy policy explains what is collected, why, and the rights you have.

Can I get a refund?

If you are a consumer you have 14 days from buying a subscription to change your mind, and we refund you less a fair amount for the days you have used. An unused message pack can be refunded within 14 days.

How do I cancel or change my card?

Open Manage my plan on this site and enter the email address you pay with. We email you a secure link to your billing page, where you can change your card, see receipts or cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Own-brand and white-label editions

Can you build a white-label version for my club, academy or governing body?

Yes. Athleet.Ai builds own-brand (white-label) editions: your name, logo and colours, your coaching framework and content, and access that you control. We already run own-brand editions for national governing bodies and professional clubs. Each one is scoped with you, so the next step is to tell us about your organisation through Ask Paul or the Organisations page.

How does an own-brand edition come together?

In three stages. Scope: we map your coaching framework, pathway and content onto the platform. Build: your tools, brand and access rules, tested on a staging site with your staff. Launch: your coaches sign in by invitation, you see usage, and we keep it running.

What does a white-label edition cost?

Own-brand editions are priced individually, depending on the sport, the number of users and how much is built around your own framework, and are invoiced annually. Contact us for a quote. A club that only needs the standard tools for up to ten coaches can use a Club plan from £79 a month.

Can an own-brand edition use our own coaching framework and content?

Yes. That is the main reason organisations choose one. The tools are grounded in your framework, pathway and documents, so every coach works to the same standard.

Are there separate tools for coaches, athletes and parents?

Yes. Coaches get planning, analysis and squad tools. Athletes get personal training, recovery and competition guidance. Parents get guidance on supporting a young athlete's training, health and wellbeing.

Can a club or governing body have its own edition?

Yes. Athleet.Ai builds editions for clubs, academies and governing bodies using their own coaching framework, content and branding, with access controlled by the organisation.

For coaches

How can AI help a sports coach?

AI can draft sessions and training blocks, weigh up the training load you describe, answer technical or rules questions and, in some sports, review a video clip. Athleet.Ai does this in the language of the coach's sport and shows its reasoning, leaving the decision with the coach.

Will AI replace my coaching?

No. Athleet.Ai prepares options and explains them. The coach decides what the athletes do.

Can Athleet.Ai plan training for a whole squad?

Yes. Coaches can plan sessions, mesocycles and seasons for groups and individuals, and adjust plans for athletes who have raced, been ill or are returning from injury.

Which sports can coaches use it for?

Track and field, football, triathlon, golf, skating, padel and basketball.

What does the Coach plan include?

The full coach tool set for one sport: planning, technical, strength and conditioning and health tools, plus the Coach Research Lab. Video review is included in the sports that have a video tool for coaches (track and field, football, triathlon and skating). The Coach Roster Hub is in beta and coming soon.

For athletes and players

How can AI help an athlete train?

AI can build training around an athlete's event, level and schedule, explain what each session is for, and adjust the week after a race, illness or missed session.

Does Athleet.Ai replace my coach?

No. It is designed to work alongside a coach, and to help athletes who train without one understand and structure their training.

Can it help with recovery, nutrition and race day?

Yes. Athlete tools cover recovery, nutrition, mindset, injury and return to training, and planning for competition day.

Which sports is it available for?

Track and field, football, triathlon, golf, skating, padel and basketball. Each has its own set of athlete or player tools.

For parents

How can a parent support a young athlete without coaching them?

By looking after the things around training: sleep, food, recovery, school balance and encouragement. Athleet.Ai gives parents guidance on these and helps them know when a question is one for the coach.

Is the advice appropriate for my child's age?

Guidance is written for a young athlete's age and stage of development, including growth and maturation.

What topics does Athleet.Ai cover for parents?

Recovery and sleep, nutrition, injury prevention and rehabilitation, wellbeing and mindset, and balancing school with sport.

What should I say after a bad competition?

Keep it short and supportive, and let the coach handle the technical review. Athleet.Ai offers parents wording that helps and points out the kind that tends to add pressure.

For clubs and governing bodies

Can a club or governing body have its own Athleet.Ai edition?

Yes. Athleet.Ai builds editions using an organisation's own coaching framework, content and branding.

What is included in an organisation edition?

Framework-grounded AI tools, access and roster control, the organisation's branding, and, where needed, specialist data panels, athlete dashboards and video analysis.

Who controls access to an organisation edition?

The organisation. Coaches and staff sign in by invitation.

How is an organisation edition priced?

Each edition is scoped with the organisation and invoiced annually. Contact Athleet.Ai to discuss requirements.

Where is my data kept?

Each edition of Athleet.Ai runs in its own secure, separate environment, and conversations are not shared between editions. The privacy policy lists the suppliers involved.

How do I delete my Athleet.Ai account?

Email hello@athleet.ai. Athleet.Ai will remove your account along with all of your history with its AI services.

Research

Can AI replace a sports coach?

No. The Athleet.Ai position is that AI should prepare options and show its reasoning while the coach makes the decision. Coaching expertise comes from making a decision, watching what it does to a real athlete, and learning from it.

Does junior performance predict senior success?

Only weakly. Research summarised in The Intelligent Track reports that junior performance explains around two per cent of the variance in senior performance across Olympic sports, and that between six and 24 per cent of world-ranked juniors in athletics reach the equivalent senior ranking.

Is the acute to chronic workload ratio reliable?

Not on its own. A sustained methodological literature shows the ratio is mathematically coupled and that its apparent optimal zone can be an artefact of how data is grouped. Load figures should inform a coach's decision, not make it.

What is false precision in training load monitoring?

False precision is a contested measure presented as a settled number. It matters most with young athletes, where a single readiness score on a screen can carry more weight than the evidence behind it supports.

What is explainable AI in coaching?

Explainable AI shows the reasoning behind each recommendation so a coach can question it. Athleet.Ai treats this as a performance requirement: advice a coach cannot interrogate will be ignored by experienced coaches and followed uncritically by inexperienced ones.

Where can I read the Athleet.Ai whitepapers?

All seven whitepapers and the six working papers are free to read on this page, and each whitepaper can be downloaded.
