Real conversations

Asked for real. Answered as you see it.

Each question below was put to a tool in this edition on 8 October 2026. The opening of each answer is shown exactly as it came back, not edited or picked from several tries. Any AI can be wrong, so treat an answer as a draft to check.

Coach · Figure Skating AssistantOne of my skaters, aged 12, keeps under-rotating her axel. Give me a 30 minute lesson plan, on and off ice.
Here’s a focused 30-minute lesson to address under-rotation on the axel for a 12-year-old skater. Split evenly: 15 mins off-ice (mechanics and strength-speed), 15 mins on-ice (edge quality, take-off timing, axis and landing). Each mini-session follows a full four-unit structure and includes purpose and rationale. Volumes are age-appropriate with quality-over-quantity emphasis. OFF-ICE: 15 mins — Axel Mechanics and Strength-Speed Purpose and rationale: Build a cleaner take-off pattern, stronger hip-knee-ankle alignment, faster “snap to axis”, and firmer landings.

Skater · Spins & FlexibilityMy camel spin travels across the ice. What should I check and practise?
Camel spin travelling: what to check and what to practise off the ice ⮕ Quick answer ➝ Travelling usually starts before the spin, not in the camel position itself. For an anticlockwise skater, coaches often find the cause in the entry edge and hook into the spin, posture over the skating foot, a free leg that swings round, or being too far on the toe picks instead of the sweet spot just behind them. What to check with your coach on the ice ⮕ Entry and hook ➝ Are you finishing the entry edge before the hook into the spin, or rushing it and stepping under yourself early. ➝ Is a shoulder or hip dropping as you step in, which can send the spin away from its centre.

Parent · Understanding Judging & ScoringI am new to this. Can you explain my daughter's protocol sheet: what are GOE and components?
GOE and components on your daughter's protocol sheet ⮕ The short answer ➝ GOE means grade of execution. It is the judges' plus or minus mark for how well an individual element was performed, added to the element's base value, which is the starting points it is worth before quality is judged. At the time of writing judges use a scale from minus 5 to plus 5. ➝ Components are the marks for the overall quality of the skating and the programme as a whole, such as skating skills, composition and performance. These are separate from the individual jumps and spins.

What it is

A specialist you ask

A set of tools, each built for one job in this sport, that answer in the sport's own language with the reasoning shown. Nothing to install.

What it is not

Not a tracking app

It does not sync with watches or apps. You tell it what has happened and it works from that. The only record of an athlete is the private profile a coach chooses to keep.

Why not a general chatbot

Built for the sport

A general chatbot has to be told the sport, the rules, the age group and the caution each time. These tools start there, and stay inside what a coach would sign off.
